Happy birthday!

I just realized that today, August 2, is this web site’s birthday: LetMeColor.com is now officially exactly one year old (or should I say young?). I am very happy that we have reached this first milestone. I hope we will reach many more…

Increasing popularity
Looking back, I can say we’ve done very well. Statistics show that we are only a few steps away from 300.000 page views. And it was only April 14th that we crossed the 100.000 line, so this site is gathering speed . A year ago, when I started this blog, I didn’t quite expect that so many people out there would be interested in my realistic coloring pages. So, to everybody out there: thank you very much!

Upgrading web site
Last week I spend time upgrading my WordPress software (for all the geeks out there: I’m running 2.6 now). And very important: I tried to improve the usability of this site. Some of you might have noticed that the category cloud on the right was growing too big to be useful. So I brought that back to a small amount of categories. Hopefully, this will help you find coloring pages much faster. I also changed the sitemap (see the “ColoringPages” button in the header), so the categories in the cloud match the headings in the sitemap.

The future
So, what will the future bring? Of course, I will continue publishing 2 new coloring pages a week (or at least I will try . But first, this month (August) I will be going on a 2 week family vacation, so there could be a little pause later this month. But after that, I will post 2 free coloring pages a week again.

Supercar coloring book
I am also working on a new coloring book, filled with brand new coloring pages of fantastic super cars. I can’t say too much about it right now, only that it is my first coloring book that will be sold, after my first free coloring book (and yes, there will be more free books too). I hope to release the sports car book in September, so come back if you like fast car coloring pages. It will be available by download.
